The SleepAid orange lens is independently lab-tested to filter 99% across 380–550nm at 48.2% visible light transmission, a Category 1 filter under ISO 12312-1. What the wraparound shape adds is side coverage: it limits light coming in at the edges, which matters in a room with a lamp behind you or a TV off to one side.
Built for indoor evening use in the hours before bed. At Category 1 this is not a sunglass and not a lens for driving.
